How long will Shannen Doherty have to live?

A better question might be, is Shannen Doherty giving up? Answer: Absolutely not!

And yet, as they say, she plans for the worst.

It’s unclear how long she’ll have to live after being diagnosed with breast cancer, so to help her loved ones with a “smooth transition” after her death, she’s taking some drastic steps.

For fans who don’t know, Shannon has a property she purchased in Tennessee that she hopes to turn into a home for her mother and her to live together. She revealed that her big dreams extend to four storage units filled with antiques. Other items he has collected over the years.

He has not started the process of donating and selling all these items.

“We were in Tennessee and I was packing a place there,” she continued. “It was really hard and really emotional because to some extent – I felt like I was giving up this dream of building this property, and building a house for myself and a house for my mom, and then expanding the barn. Am.”

Despite how difficult the process was, Shannon said that letting go was “the right thing to do”, knowing it would give her a sense of “peace”.

How long will Shannon really have to live?

In her first episode in 2024, she explains that she hopes to live long enough to begin making medical advances to beat the disease.

“I always talk about the fact that we just need to get three to five more years out,” Shannon said when she talked about how long she has to live. “And then there’s going to be T-cell therapy or there’s going to be this.”

He further said, “There will be a lot of options that will span the next five years. Then over those five years, there will be a whole bunch of options, and eventually there will be a cure.”

His health and what his doctors are saying

Doherty has undergone a mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation and brain surgery since being diagnosed with metastatic stage 4 breast cancer in 2015.

His cancer went into remission in 2017 but then returned in late 2019, just before the pandemic. Doherty’s oncologist Dr. Lawrence Piro agreed that more work was needed if the actress was to make a full recovery.

“I always say it’s important to think of each therapy as a horse,” Dr. Piro said on a Jan. 1 podcast. “In horse racing, you want to ride each horse as long as he rides, and then you want to ride the next horse as long as possible. You’ll hopefully make it a few laps, then have another new set of horses to ride to make the race even longer.

The most recent development in Doherty’s cancer battle is that the disease spread to his bones,
