Lizzo screams “I quit,” apparently done with Hollywood

For Lizzo, it appears this is a very bad time…

…to walk away from your career?

On Friday, the 35-year-old singer shared a lengthy statement on Instagram, saying she was “tired of being dragged down by everyone in my life and on the internet.”

and as a result?

Is his career over?

The Grammy winner continued, “I just want to make music and make people happy and help make the world a little better than the way I found it.”

“But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in this.

“I constantly protest the lies told about me for my influence and views…I have been made fun of every time because of how I look.”

Lizzo didn’t reveal any specific details in her message.

Last August, The artist was accused of sexual harassment Several backup dancers said he humiliated them by forcing them to eat a banana from a stripper’s vagina, among other allegations.

We can only assume Lizzo was referencing this lawsuit when she added on March 29:

“People who don’t know me are criticizing my character and disrespecting my name.”

Insisting that she “didn’t sign up for this s—t,” the 35-year-old concluded:

“I quit.”

Lizzo has mostly kept a low profile since the aforementioned lawsuit was filed.

“These past few days have been extremely difficult and extremely disappointing,” he Responded in Instagram message on August 3, “My work ethic, ethics and honor have been questioned. My character has been criticized.”

Lizzo called the allegations “sensational stories” at the time, saying in part:

“Sometimes I have to make tough decisions but my intention is never to make anyone feel uncomfortable or feel like they are not valued as an important part of the team.”

Last November, the artist apparently revealed in a separate Instagram post that she was taking time to focus on herself.

“Hello. I’ve been working.. on music, on myself, on relationships with people and food, on my anxiety, on my body, on my business, and on my trust issues with the world.. but they Deeper, deeper than ever. xoxo,” Lizzo wrote then

Meanwhile, on March 17, Lizzo provided fans with an update on her professional plans and goals.

“I’ve been writing some great music and I’m so excited for you all to hear it. I want to be a normal person again, to be outside… to love and trust people… to try to make new friends… to go on live… Almost ready to sing and talk about my pain and my joy,” he said, adding only two weeks ago:

“Thank you for your patience and also thank you to those who unfollowed, because now I know where we stand.”
