King Charles planning $250 million funeral: report

The news of King Charles battling cancer shocked the entire world.

Furthermore, the reluctance of Buckingham Palace officials to comment on the stage and type of cancer has led many observers to assume the worst.

Those concerns were somewhat calmed on Sunday when Charles looked fit and healthy during his first public outing since his diagnosis.

But according to a report, Raja and his bosses have taken initial steps to prepare for the worst.

The National Enquirer It was reported this week that preparations are underway Charles’s funeral With an estimated budget of approximately $250 million.

“Charles wants an even bigger and better farewell than Queen Elizabeth’s,” a source described as “a well-established palace insider” told the outlet (via Radar Online).

The source added, “Charles says he waited 70 years to take the throne, so he deserves a grand sendoff.”

King Charles’s last request

The insider says Charles has gone into great detail regarding his plans for the funeral, even deciding which family members should not be allowed to attend.

Topping the list is Prince Andrew, who in 2022 settled a lawsuit filed by alleged sexual assault victim Virginia Giuffre.

“Once again, Andrew is claiming his innocence, but Her Majesty will hear none of it,” the source said of the king’s refusal to forget the allegations against his younger brother.

Will Prince Harry attend his father’s funeral?

As we previously reported, Prince Harry flew to London to meet Charles shortly after learning of his diagnosis.

However, the visit was brief, and the insider says there is still friction between father and son.

According to inquirerAccording to the source, the king plans to express his feelings at his funeral by “putting the royal black sheep in the back seats” as “his last order.”

This would be an almost incredibly petty move, but then again, the royals have never been a family tolerant of even the slightest disagreement.

We should note that even if the rumors are true and Charles is indeed planning his own funeral, it doesn’t mean that his diagnosis is final.

It would not be unheard of for a 75-year-old king to make plans regarding his funeral and succession, especially in the wake of the health crisis.

Palace officials say Charles is receiving the best possible care and are optimistic about his chances of a full recovery.
