le’vi is a Chinese solo artist who appeared in the K-pop show Boys’ Planet – which trended globally on the K-pop scene in 2023.

On August 18, LE’V released “AIBAE”, marking her solo debut album.

Additionally, a bilingual experience is provided with both Korean and Chinese versions of the two tracks “AIBAE” and its B-side track “Exchange ID”.

Congratulations on your first mini album, “AIBAE”! Can you tell us about the inspiration behind the album title and its significance for you?

My first album “AIBAE” is an opportunity for me to transform from a trainee to an artist. I wish that this album serves as a gift to my fans who have always supported me. I have high hopes for many new experiences through this album.

“AIBAE” introduces your musicality to the world. Are there any specific messages or emotions you wanted to convey through the album that you hope your listeners will understand and connect with?

I believe I have learned how to express my emotions in my own way from this album and the precious experiences of the stage. I hope all the listeners can also feel that I am expressing my music in my own way.

Looking back at the entire process of bringing “AIBAE” to life, what is your favorite part of the creative process?

The most exciting part for me is learning new things that I never knew while working on the album. This gave me confirmation that I was slowly improving. Seeing my improvements, even if small, every day was a very rewarding experience.

Looking back at the journey from your appearance on Boys Planet to the release of “AIBAE”, what is the most valuable lesson you’ve learned about connecting with a global audience and making a lasting impact in the music industry?

I thought it was important to maintain a clear goal and direction within myself and not lose my focus. I realized that I can continuously improve if I stay focused on myself, listen to the opinions of others, and be open to new lessons.

If you could go back in time and tell your younger self anything. What would you say and why?

First of all, I would like to thank myself for doing what I love without giving up despite challenges and regrets. I will never regret the decisions I have taken in my past.

Looking ahead, what are your goals and aspirations for the next phase of your career after your debut release?

I hope to show better work by incorporating my experiences and lessons from my first album “AIBAE”. I want to give back all the love and support of my fans by presenting good works in the future.
