Dennis Haskins Details Kidnapping in ‘Call Her Daddy’ Interview – Hollywood Life

“I could hear a strange man’s voice, and it was as if my subconscious mind was in conflict. It was almost like saying, ‘Don’t wake up, don’t wake up,’” Haskins explained to podcast host Alex Cooper. At that moment, she and Quinn were awakened by what they thought were several men, and one of them instructed Denise to tie up her then-boyfriend.

“There were so many little pieces of it that it was very hard to even process,” Haskins explained to Alex. “It’s not what you usually think of – you watch true crime or horror movies, and you see this crazy, passionate violence and realize that criminals can be patient and in control, and planned. “Doing the procedure was even more terrifying.”

After being sedated and forced to wear headphones as “pre-recorded messages” played, Haskins mused, “Maybe this is just a robbery.” However, this ends up resulting in his kidnapping.

“The night slowly got worse, and they separated me from Aaron and brought me downstairs, and then he came in – there was only one man who was speaking, and this was the man who had taken me captive,” Haskins continued. “And he said ‘It wasn’t for you, it was for you -‘ and he put Aaron’s ex-wife’s name in by her first and last name. We need to figure out what we’re going to do.”

Haskins was kidnapped in March 2015. He was held hostage by Muller for 40 hours. During her kidnapping, he raped Haskins, before eventually returning her to her hometown.

“You almost have to dissociate because you can’t exist in the enormity of the situation,” Haskins said on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. “You have to think about all the possibilities that anything could go wrong.”

Haskins and Quinn faced police charges which shocked them. Authorities and the public speculated that the couple had planned the kidnapping in a similar manner. Ben Affleck’s film gone girl,

After the horrific ordeal, Haskins and Quinn married and gave birth to two daughters. Earlier this year, Haskins and Quinn appeared in the documentary series American Nightmare To tell their story.
