Declaring the results here on Sunday, board chairman Anand Kishore said that a total of 13,79,842 students, including 6,99,549 girls and 6,80,293 boys, have passed the matriculation board examination with good marks. “A total of 4,52,302 passed first division, while 5,24,965 students secured second division and 3,80,732 secured third division. The overall pass percentage of boys is 84.45% while the pass percentage of girls is 81.4%,” he said.

Kishore also said that the overall pass percentage has improved compared to the last six years as the monthly examination was conducted from August last year and it was mandatory for the students to appear in it and their copy was given to them as reference. .

Shivankar Kumar from Zila School Purnia has emerged as the state topper Scored 97.80 percent marks in board exam and scored 489 marks out of 500. Adarsh ​​Kumar of V High School Mobajidpur North, Samastipur stood second with 97.6%.
The third place was shared by Aditya Kumar from Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, Jamui, Sumar Kumar Purve from New Upgrade High School Sidhap Parsahi Ladania, Madhubani, Palak Kumari from Uch Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Hussepur Ekma and Sajiya Perween from SMT High School, Vaishali with 97.2%. .
A total of 51 students have made it to the top 10 list, which includes 23 girls and 28 boys. In the list of toppers, there were only two students from Patna, namely Rahul Kumar of Uttamrit Higher Secondary School, Kewra at fourth position with 97% and Rimjhim Kumari of Dayanand Kanya Vidyalaya, Mithapur at tenth position with 95.8%.
This year, only six students of Simultala Residential School, Jamui have secured their place in the top 10 list. The school first came into limelight in 2015, when it created a record of scoring 30 out of 31 in the top 10 rank holders in the Class X board exams.
The Chairman said that the results of more than 16.64 lakh students were published in 31 days, resulting in BSEB releasing the matriculation results in record time and the fastest in the country for the sixth consecutive year. “The evaluation work of answer sheets started from March 1, 2024 and was completed in 31 days by checking more than 99 lakh copies and more than 99 lakh OMR sheets. BSEB is the first examination board to declare the results in the month of March,” he said while addressing media persons.
Kishore said: “This achievement has been possible with the help of technology and computerized format used in the examination. We introduced a series of technological advancements including the use of pre-printed barcodes and litho code answer copies, speeding up the evaluation process through computerization.
A total of 16,64,252 students appeared for the Class 10 examination held from February 15 to February 23 at 1,585 examination centers across the state.
