Bitch Women who drink more than 8 alcoholic drinks a week have higher risk of heart disease

I think we all know that drinking too much alcohol leads to many health problems, whether it be physical, mental or emotional. Now, new evidence has emerged that concludes that drinking too much alcohol can also cause heart damage in women. A new study from Kaiser Permanente Northern California finds that women who drink more than eight alcoholic drinks per week have a higher risk of heart disease. The study involved more than 430,000 adults and aimed to research the effects of alcohol consumption on coronary heart disease. Binge drinking (more than three drinks per day) increases the chance of heart disease from 51% to 68%. The study was originally conducted using data collected in 2014 and 2015, in which patients were asked about their alcohol consumption. It then tracked the subject for four years and found that excessive drinking was the biggest culprit.

Coronary heart disease, a definition: According to the Mayo Clinic, coronary heart disease is a common heart condition that occurs when a person’s coronary arteries become clogged with cholesterol deposits and plaque. Blood, oxygen, and nutrients are then no longer able to flow freely to the heart, and this reduced blood flow can lead to shortness of breath, chest pain, and, in cases of complete blockage, heart attack.

Millennial women are drinking more alcohol: “The prevalence of alcohol use is increasing among young and middle-aged women because women think they are safe from heart disease as they get older, but this study shows that even in that age group, women who are more “Drinking alcohol beyond the recommended amount of one drink per day or drinking excessively increases the risk of coronary heart disease,” study author and cardiologist Jamal Rana wrote in an email to the Post.

Heart disease is the primary killer of women right now: According to the CDC, heart disease is the No. 1 cause of death for women in the United States, and coronary artery disease ranks top in the heart disease category. The organization already recommends that women limit alcohol consumption to one drink per day to reduce heart disease risk.

Ways to reduce the risk of heart disease: The CDC also recommends several other ways for women to reduce their risk of heart disease, including getting tested for diabetes, quitting smoking, getting regular blood pressure checked, managing stress, eating healthy and walking 150 minutes per week. Involves exercising.

contrary to popular belief… “There has long been a view that alcohol is good for the heart,” Rana said in the post, “but more and more evidence is challenging that notion.”

To be honest, I think these results are quite troubling but not surprising. I (jokingly) think a big part of why young/middle-aged women are reportedly drinking more wine definitely has to do with America’s “wine mom” culture. It’s basically a carte blanche for women to get their drinks messed up, which is a slippery slope for a lot of guys. People keep saying that Gen Z drinks less, and they clearly want some. There are also two new alcohol-free bars opening in my area, which tells me there must be a market for them. If you are struggling with alcoholism or any other type of addiction, please know that you are not alone. Many people are struggling with alcohol abuse. Over the years, CB has provided a lot of great resources, including a website smart recovery, If you’re concerned about heart disease caused by drinking alcohol, talk to your doctor about a CT scan or similar test to get your cardiac calcium score to determine whether and How much damage has been done?
