According to aviation sources, the latest situation arose when pilots refused to operate flights due to increased duty hours.

Amid this chaos, several passengers shared their grievances on X and reported the issue to the regulatory authorities. Some even tagged Ratan Tata in their posts.

‘Dada on his deathbed’: Vistara passenger was traveling from Ranchi to Delhi

After Vistara canceled a flight from Ranchi to Delhi, a frustrated passenger named Ayush Kumar took to social media to plead for help. He claimed that his grandfather was on his deathbed. He wrote, “My flight UK754 from Vistara, Ranchi to Delhi was canceled (April 2nd), and I have to rush to Delhi as my grandfather is on his deathbed. Please help arrange another flight on any airline on the same day. Your staff has refused to do so.”

Kumar also tagged the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), India.

Vistara responded to the post and requested the user to share the details on DM.

However, even after sharing the details, Kumar did not receive any response from the airline. He re-tagged Vistara and wrote, “I have not received any reply or call. Your customer service is unavailable. The loss of sympathy from your end is disappointing.”

Vistara then apologized for the delayed response and shared that Kumar had been offered assistance.

‘Left stranded with senior citizen’: Vistara club member who faced last-minute flight cancellation

“Absolutely unacceptable! Vistara canceled my flight at the last minute and their customer care is unreachable. Traveling with a senior citizen and getting stranded. We need a solution ASAP. Booking details – TRMXHB and TWKNWJ,” wrote another user named Joseph Sebastian on X.

Sebastian, who is a member of Club Vistara, was “severely disappointed” by the airline after he tagged Ratan Tata and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), India in his post.

Although this post was shared 11 hours ago, Vistara replied to it a few minutes ago. They apologized for the inconvenience, citing “operational reasons” for the flight cancellation. The airline further said that Sebastian was given an alternative flight. The airline further added, “We have taken strict note of your feedback and are sharing it with the team for their review to avoid similar incidents in future and provide enhanced customer experience.”

‘My bag still not traced’: Passenger who was transferred to different Vistara flight

However another passenger named Vinayak Pujar shared about the “pathetic state of services” by the airline. He wrote, “Booked on Uk653 on 02/04. The flight was cancelled, so I myself shifted to Uk994/uk706 MUM-DEL-CDG on 01/04. Uk994 was rescheduled, thus moving me to UK970/uk706. UK 970 was eventually canceled after Vistara was rescheduled. Shifted again to direct mum-cdg uk659. So far so good. After spending 5 hours at Mumbai airport and arriving at CDG, I was surprised to find that the checked-in baggage had not arrived. The response is pathetic. 5 hours after landing at CDG my bag is still not found.”

Pujar also claimed that his phone calls went unanswered. “Phone numbers from Mumbai are unanswered. Truly pathetic, Vistara.”

Vistara responded that they “understand the dissatisfaction” and “sorry for the inconvenience” caused to the passenger. The airline further said that they “sympathize with the passenger’s situation”.

‘Poor show’: Vistara passenger who thinks airline is unreliable

Another passenger, Rohit Prakash, thinks Vistara is unreliable. “Vistara, a very bad show. You are absolutely incredible.”

Vistara shared that Prakash was given an alternative flight. The airline added, “Please be informed that seats are assigned based on availability, and our team has assisted you to the best of their abilities. In case of any last minute cancellations you can connect with our airport team and they will help you find alternative seats. We appreciate your understanding.”
